My redeemer

lost and miserable ; I was
before,

full of lonesome and
never-ending sore,

whipping and mourning
until it was dawn,

hoping someday, somehow I
can move on.

A broken and scattered
glass was my fight,

and trampled by those
uncaring feet on reef,

imitated by the richest on
my sight,

left me into the midst of
mischief.

yet I awake to the lush
fields of greenery,

with blessings of sunshine
brightening the gloom,

emanating the priceless
joy from everywhere ,

living here with you
relieves me of my doom.

you died on the cross for
my salvation,

redeemed from death to a
new creation.
