within;hidden is a truth
it's danger to show
it's menace to tell
but what the mind thought
never actually won
for unconcealed it becomes under a light
as words tell less lies without intention
actions express too much pretension
but really peels off the masks of perfection
and reveals the hunger to be enslaved by that light--
blinding-- but luring
making the hands longing to reach
and feel your presence's warmth
though only imagined--hope it offers
but in a sole short blink,
erased by fear
reliving the consequences i could never bear. :cc
