.to Mama
Having a mother like you with or without me while growing up was the greatest gift and biggest advantage anyone could ever have given me. It is because of the confidence, independence and values that you instilled in me that made me who I am today. Thank you for shaping me into a person who I like and am proud to be. Thank you for letting us believe that we could be whoever we wanted to be, do whatever we wanted to do, there were no limitations except our drive, ambition and creativity.
Having you in my life is the greatest blessing to me.If there was a text book on how to be the perfect and strong single mother to three children, it would have you as the role model.
Thank you for your unwavering support through out my journey.
Thank you for helping me in my assignments in my early years at school, thank you for the patience during my toddler years until now, thank you for your unending love, thank you for being strong, and thank you for learning about a world that must be so foreign to you for us.
Thank you for always taking an interest in what we were doing.
Thank you for holding me when i cut my thumb while I cry in Grade 4.
Thank you for always having hope for me when I didn’t have for myself.
Thank you for telling me not to give up when I said I couldn’t do it any more.
Thank you for never giving up on me, kuya and rex when we went through that dark period,
Thank you for loving me despite of being hardheaded sometimes.
Thank you for always thinking about how Rex must be feeling,
Thank you for sending me that text message before graduation, that message helped me so much to lighten my heavy feeling.
Thank you for mediating in the relationship with us here, I know it must be very hard for you to be stuck sometimes in the middle of the tension that was between your children. Thank you for never taking sides, for being there for us equally, for being the perfect mother to your sons and daughter.. .
Thank you for washing my clothes and even underwear before, for preparing my things in school, and baking special treats.
Thank you for taking care of us when we had Dengue in our early years.
Thank you for going back all the way from hospital to home to give us comfortable clothes and tawa-tawa.
Thank you for loving Papa.
Thank you for rushing through to me when you hear me cry at night.
Thank you for loving him so much while he was alive.
Thank you for loving him still. For never forgetting about him.
Thank you for reminding us about your love.
Thank you from the smallest things to the greatests, i could never list them one by one.
And, Ma, I never got to tell you that no matter what happen or will happen, I am very happy and thankful that you are my mother.
Thank you, for every thing you have done for me, thank you for every thing you have said, and for all the times when you said nothing and just being there.
Thank you for being my good luck charm, my muse, my heroine, my savior, my therapist, my chauffeur, my cook, and now my distant girlfriend.
Thank you for being such a wonderful mother..
Thank you, thank you, thank you. For a million things, for everything. I don’t know what we would do without you. There are so many many more things, small things, big things.
Thank you Ma, I love you, more than words can ever express!
...and HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!!
.your loving daughter.
